Let LOVE Guide Your Way
“From every angle Goradesky’s Public Artwork is interpreted, LOVE & Kindness absorbed by the viewer.” – Director Wiener Museum

When 2018 arrived, I had been showing at a series of photography shows and art events on the East Coast. While building on the successes of my earlier projects, I again felt pulled in the direction of public art.
Producing a small individual work, I felt I was only able to influence its purchaser and a few later viewers. Installing a lasting piece of public art held the possibility of enriching the community for immortality.
Let Love Guide Your Way, my most successful public art installation, was born of introspection and study of the human condition.
In all ancient religions, and philosophies the values of love and harmony, are foundational, guiding ethical behavior, social structures and spiritual practices across diverse cultures. In every relationship, every interaction, every decision I saw the human experience beset by the same fundamental choice.
“Will I be guided by the good values and positive teachings that I know are morally right or will I follow the path of silence, sorrow or personal gain at the expense of others?” – Artist

A visitors walk by they feel the LOVE from the Let LOVE Guide Your Way Weathervane

The heart-shape cutouts create wonderful illusion as the heart-shapes multiply and reflect as the sun paints heart-shape shadows.
Let LOVE Guide Your Way answers this question philosophically and corporally with a bright red larger- than-life size Cupid’s Arrow pointing the way to right choices. The weathervane has two main components: the base and the arrow. The base represents a singular human form and is composed of a base of four stantions of steel pointing in each direction of the compass. These symbolize the conflicting paths from which a person must choose.
The weathervane points to the right direction to choose not bound to any of the rigid compass points but instead pointing in the direction of the right course, the true course and love must guide the way. The top and bottom heart-shapes point North to give the functioning weathervane a point of reference. There are heart shape cut-outs in groups of three which represent family. The number 3 has the meaning of Family & Love. Multiples of the number 3 have meaning in all culture and religion. There are 24 total heart-shape cut-outs which represent our World.
The arrow is Cupid’s Arrow which represents Universal Love. The large, oversized arrow with hearts on either end encourages the viewer to think of kindness and love. The Artwork is 30 feet tall with an arrow circumference spin of 28 feet. The bright red color commands attention.
Hand holding couples make frequent visits to these installations to reinforce their commitment each other. Teachers bring their students to emphasize the importance of personal commitment and good values. Let LOVE Guide the Way is currently being considered at colleges, universities, museums and large corporate campuses.

The balance is critical to the
circumference spin of the 26-foot Cupid’s Arrow.
The arrow is balanced on a 2 inch axel that is polished to a 1/32nd inch point.
